DESCRIPTION:Players will compete in 15 head-to-head matches on randomly assigned games\, followed by a 3-game playoff between the top 4 competitors. This will be an IFPA-sanctioned event\, and prize money will be awarded based on attendance. 1st place: 50%\, 2nd place: 25%\, 3rd place: 15%\, 4th place: 10%. \n\nNo extra balls will be played. Any ties for playoff qualification\, or in the playoff itself\, will be resolved with a 1-ball tiebreaker on a machine of the tournament director’s choice (or if the TD is amongst the tied individuals\, a neutral party will be asked to choose the game). \nCost for tournament entry is $20. An additional $5 (waived for RPM VIP Patrons) will be required for admission to the Pinball Museum in lieu of coin drop. Entry fee must be paid in cash on the night of the tournament. SUMMARY:The Great Roanoke Pinball Pub Crawl 2
DESCRIPTION:You asked for it\, so we’re doing it again! 3 breweries — 1 epic showdown! Have a drink\, socialize\, play some pinball\, and win some cash! \nQualifying will be held simultaneously at both Golden Cactus Brewing (214 5th St. SW) and across the street at Big Lick Brewing Co (409 Salem Ave. SW)\, followed by playoffs at a third location TBD. \nThe tournament will be in “Best Game” format. Participants will play each game at least once between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the available pins during qualifying. Each game may be played up to 3 times in an effort to increase your score on each machine\, potentially moving you up in the rankings as you outscore other opponents. As each game finishes\, the tournament director at your location will record your score on that machine. Once your score is recorded\, you must either move to another game\, or go to the back of the line to try again on the same game. Points will be awarded based on how you rank against everyone else on that machine. \nQualifying will end at 4 p.m. sharp\, at which point any remaining scores will be entered and calculated. To account for the possibility of a machine breaking down before all participants can play it at least once\, each player’s 1 or 2 worst-ranked games may be dropped. \nTop 4 in the standings at 4 p.m. will go on to the playoff. We will re-convene at 5 p.m. at the final location (either Twisted Track Brewpub or A Few Old Goats Brewing) for a 3-game playoff\, scored 7/5/3/1 for each game. Any ties will result in a 1-ball playoff on a game of the TD’s choosing. Prize money will be distributed to all 4 finalists as follows — 1st: 50%\, 2nd: 25%\, 3rd: 15%\, 4th: 10%. \nCost to register is $15\, and machines will be on coin play. 100% of entries will go to the prize pool. Please bring cash\, as we will be unable to process credit cards. Please state who is participating and for which event. \nQ: Do I need to show up right at 1 p.m.?\nA: No! As long as you can play all 10 qualifying games at least once\, you’re good. But\, the earlier you come\, the more time you have to get in multiple attempts. \nQ: What if I didn’t get to play a game (or games?)\nA: If you ran out of time\, you’ll take a zero on any game you didn’t get to\, but that score may be dropped in the event of a malfunction. \nQ: When will this end?\nA: Qualifying stops at 4 p.m.\, Playoffs begin at 5 p.m. and should be done by approximately 6 p.m.

SUMMARY:Monthly Max Match Play Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Players will compete in 20 head-to-head matches on randomly assigned games\, followed by a 1-game playoff between the top 4 competitors. This will be an IFPA-sanctioned event\, and prize money will be awarded based on attendance. 1st place: 50%\, 2nd place: 25%\, 3rd place: 15%\, 4th place: 10%. \nNo extra balls will be played. Any ties for playoff qualification\, or in the playoff itself\, will be resolved with a 1-ball tiebreaker on a machine of the tournament director’s choice (or if the TD is amongst the tied individuals\, a neutral party will be asked to choose the game). \nCost for tournament entry is $20. $1 from each participant will go to IFPA sanctioning\, with the rest going to the prize pot. An additional $5 (waived for RPM VIP Patrons) will be required for admission to the Pinball Museum in lieu of coin drop. Entry fee must be paid in cash on the night of the tournament. Pre-registration can be done by submitting your entry fee to roanokepinballleague@gmail.com via Paypal (Friends & Family). \nPractice play begins at 6:00pm\, with the tournament starting at 7:00pm sharp.
