DESCRIPTION:We’re back at Golden Cactus Brewing for a new tournament! This one will be a Fair Strikes knockout\, with an Amazing Race-style playoff. \nFor qualifying\, we will play a 7-strike knockout in groups of 4 (scored 0/1/1/2) until half of the participants have been eliminated. The remaining top half will then proceed to the playoff. \nThe playoff will be Amazing Race format\, in which a series of games will be played by all players\, with the lowest scoring player on each game being eliminated until there is just one remaining. As soon as any player is not the lowest scorer on a game\, they move on to the next game. \nCash prizes will be awarded to the top 4 players: 1st – 50%\, 2nd – 25%\, 3rd – 15%\, 4th – 10% \nEntry cost is $10\, games will be set to coin play. Registration will begin at 5:30 pm\, tournament begins at 6:30 sharp.

SUMMARY:The Great Roanoke Pinball Pub Crawl 4
DESCRIPTION:The ever popular Pub Crawl is back\, and with more games than ever! \nRegistration begins at noon at Golden Cactus Brewing. The tournament will begin at 1pm sharp. Play will be held simultaneously at both Golden Cactus and Big Lick Brewing. Format is Best Game. All machines will be set to coin play. Each machine can be played no more than 3 times by each player. Only your best score on each machine will count for ranking\, but all attempts must be logged. Each player’s two worst-ranked machines will be dropped to account for any potential game malfunctions. The tournament will end at 4pm sharp\, at which point the results will be tallied. The top 4 players will then play a final 4-game playoff to determine the final rankings and prize money. \nEntry is $15\, all of which goes toward the prize pot. DESCRIPTION:The ever-popular Pub Crawl is back for another round! \nOnce again\, qualifying will be held simultaneously at both Golden Cactus Brewing (214 5th St. SW) and across the street at Big Lick Brewing Co (409 Salem Ave. SW)\, followed by playoffs at A Few Old Goats Brewing (515 8th St SW). \nThe tournament will be in “Best Game” format. Participants will play each game at both locations at least once between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the available pins during qualifying. Each game may be played up to 3 times in an effort to increase your score on each machine\, potentially moving you up in the rankings as you outscore other opponents. As each game finishes\, the tournament director at your location will record your score on that machine. Once your score is recorded\, you must either move to another game\, or go to the back of the line to try again on the same game. Points will be awarded based on how you rank against everyone else on that machine. \nQualifying will end at 4 p.m. sharp\, at which point any remaining scores will be entered and calculated. To account for the possibility of a machine breaking down before all participants can play it at least once\, each player’s 1 or 2 worst-ranked games may be dropped. \nTop 4 in the standings at 4 p.m. will go on to the playoff. We will re-convene at 5 p.m. at A Few Old Goats Brewing for a 4-game playoff\, scored 7/5/3/1 for each game. Any ties will result in a 1-ball playoff on a game of the TD’s choosing. Prize money will be distributed to all 4 finalists as follows — 1st: 50%\, 2nd: 25%\, 3rd: 15%\, 4th: 10%. \nCost to register is $15\, and machines will be on coin play. 100% of entries will go to the prize pool. Please bring cash\, as we will be unable to process credit cards. SUMMARY:Monthly Max Match Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Our monthly tournaments continue in 2024! \nAs usual\, players will compete in 15 head-to-head matches on randomly assigned games\, followed by a 3-game playoff between the top 4 competitors. This will NOT be an IFPA-sanctioned event\, and prize money will be awarded based on attendance. 1st place: 50%\, 2nd place: 25%\, 3rd place: 15%\, 4th place: 10%. \n\nNo extra balls will be played. Any ties for playoff qualification\, or in the playoff itself\, will be resolved with a 1-ball tiebreaker on a machine of the tournament director’s choice (or if the TD is amongst the tied individuals\, a neutral party will be asked to choose the game). \nCost for tournament entry is $20.
